Why I’m Blogging

Hey Stars!
I created this blog to find out what I want in my life. I am currently taking a year off of school (college) because I was just going through the motions. I went to class, hung out with a few friends, and then came home, but I wasn’t growing as a person or enjoying life. I don’t want to live that way, nor should anyone be content just going through the motions. There is so much more to life than that. So instead of trying to fake it at school, I am going to take the time to learn, explore, and create what I want to! Starting with this blog.
One of my favorite stories is that of Scheherazade and her 1,001 tales, it just shows the power of words. Through this blog you’ll definitely read more about the books I’ve read and reading, I also plan on documenting my cooking fails and triumphs, a little bit of crafting, and the adventures I have around the city. For the record I live in the suburbs of Kansas City, so I’m a Mid-Western girl from the city of fountains. I have a lot of plans for this blog but here is a bit of background about the inspiration for this blog.
I named my blog Godmothers, Charmings, and Storytellers because I love a good story and no story would be complete without theses characters. People Every story needs a hero, someone doing something and inspiring others; a Charming. Such as Scheherazade saving her people by However no charming can exist without help, some of the most famous help being from a godmother. The helper provides guidance, pep talks, and the occasional pumps to people who need a helping hand. Where would Cinderella be without her glass slippers?  The last is the storyteller, the person that continues the stories adding lessons and advice to others. We would not have ever heard of Robin Hood without Alan-A-Dale singing tales of his heroics. All three are necessary in real life too.  Be your own charming,  a hero in your own right. Be the godmother, helping others, when they need it. Lastly be a Storyteller and share the stories people need to hear. The world is imperfect so bring some light into it.

So stay strong and shine brilliantly, you’ve got this!
